The Wild Yoga Concept
At
Wild Yoga we are dedicated to the practice of yoga and the
practice of the wild. We believe that the outer and inner
journeys are not separate paths that occasionally cross but
are interwoven steps that can lead us to a deeper understanding
of ourselves and this magical planet we call home.
We feel the foundation of a good yoga practice comes from
the earth (Pritivi). It is from this strong sense of grounding
and a deep connection to the planet that Wild Yoga stems.

your preferred travel style: Raft–Kayak–Foot
As yoga becomes a part of your travel experience, your wilderness
travel becomes an expression of your yoga. Nature has always
been a sanctuary for the spirit. Paddling or trekking through
nature you will tune in to the subtle yet dynamic energy that
surrounds us all. Learning to blend with this energy is one
of the great joys of wilderness travel and yoga. Practicing
asanas and meditation in the outdoors will bring the energy
of the planet into your practice – and into your day-to-day
life.
Accommodations
are usually a tent or a night in the open on a beach under
the stars. Watching the moonlight creep into a river canyon
or a flaming sunrise from your sleeping bag are examples of
the countless benefits that come with the outdoor experience.
For our winter retreats we stay in warm rustic lodges often
located high in the snowy mountains. Winter activities such
as skiing or snowshoeing complement our yoga practice. A hot
sauna at day's end wards off winter's chill.
Our Adventure Retreats will take you on a journey. Our hope
is that you will also undergo a fruitful exploration that
results in a closer relationship with the Self and the earth.
